Health Information Update

With additional announcements of confirmed cases of Swine Flu in neighboring school districts, Bandera ISD administration wants to assure parents that the safety and health of our students is always a top priority. Currently, our local health officials have indicated there is no cases of Swine Flu in our county. Bandera ISD’s attendance rate remains high, with 98% of students in school today, and 96% of students in attendance yesterday. Again, here are some common sense actions people can take to stay healthy:

• Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
• Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
• Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hands cleaners are also effective.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread that way.
• Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
